The Dermott School District has the following employment opportunities for the 2023 - 2024 School Year. Certified: Speech Pathologist K-12 Art Teacher Gifted and Talented Teacher-- part- time Family and Consumer Science, FACS Teacher Physical Education Teacher/Basketball/Football Coach Reading Interventionist Math Interventionist Learning Loss Coach-- Elementary/High School Learning Loss Interventionist---Elementary/High School Applicants for certified positions must hold Valid Arkansas License or meet Arkansas Qualified Teacher (AQT) Requirements. AQT Requirements for ACT 1240 Waiver Teachers; Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree Must have demonstrated Content Knowledge in the subject area being taught by one of the following: 1. Passed a content area assessment approved by the State Board of Education for the subject/content/grade level the educator will teach 2. Passed a content exam which was accepted as demonstration of content knowledge for a teaching license in another state that is acceptable through reciprocity for an Arkansas teaching license 3. Has a bachelor's degree or advanced degree in the content area 4. Has a minimum of 18 college credit hours in the content area 5. Has National Board Certification in the content area 6. Has documented successful, relevant work experience in the content area to be taught, established by at least one year of employment in a specific field or occupation that required the educator to demonstrate knowledge and skills in the content area. Dermott High School Graduation will take place Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the Dermott High School Gymnasium. Seniors are to report at 5: 30 p.m. Clear bags only.

The Senior Awards Ceremony will be Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the Dermott Elementary Cafeteria. Seniors are to report at 5:30 p.m. Seniors, who are participating in the Academic Signing Day, should report at 5:00 p.m. and the Academic Signing will take place at 5:15 p.m. in the Dermott Elementary Cafeteria.

School Board Meeting has been rescheduled for this evening, April 16, 2024 at 6:00 pm in the Dermott Elementary Media Center.

The Dermott High School is pleased to showcase students that have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, exemplified worthy character, and maintained a commendable attitude. The Senior National Honor Society and the National Senior Beta Club inductions will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the elementary cafeteria. All inductees should be present by 5:30 p.m. We hope to see you there! Please call the high school if you have any questions.
